What’s a Typical Day Like?
- 8:45 Camp Drop-off time begins
- 9:00 Camp opens
- 3:30 Camp ends, pick up Campers
- 3:30 Extended Camp Care begins
- 5:30 After Care ends
Campers arrive each day to counselors waiting to greet them, an opening where we sing camp songs, and daily activities that include structured swim lessons, garden and earth education, fishing, introductory kayaking and canoeing, hiking, pottery, crafts, campfire cooking, challenge course, youth yoga, games, and free play. Campers cook their own lunches over a campfire they build together. Children 9 and older participate in a special team-building and leadership training program. At the close of each day, campers join in on the friendship circle, sing, and head home tired, happy, and full of good memories.
If you would like to schedule a tour of camp, please call the office and we would love to give you a guided tour.

Tell Me More!
Swimming: From beginners to advanced, CKBY offers structured swimming lessons, and free-swim time every day of camp.
Arts-n-Crafts: Campers learn how to tie-dye t-shirts, make art from nature (bird-house gourds, anyone?) and leave camp with their own pottery.
Challenge Course: Extraordinary outdoor adventure for all ages, including a low and high ropes course, team-building exercises, a zip-line, and for campers 9 and up, Leap for Life, 35-foot climbing wall, and the Postman’s Walk. Are you ready for adrenaline?
Garden and Earth Education: Master the art of identifying native plants and trees, test the camp pond’s water, learn how to make the Earth a better place, and get dirty in the garden, while trying out new recipes and learning where food comes from (hint: not the shelf at the grocery store.)
And More … Canoeing and fishing in the pond, beginner kayaking in the pool, nature hikes, skits, singing, playing, and most excitingly, new friend making!
