1:00 pm Hike & Canoe at Ivy Creek Park on 118 Clemmons Lake Place Lynchburg, VA 24501

Join us for a 1 mile hike around Clemmons Lake. After exploring the lake on foot families can rent a canoe ($8.00/hour) or kayak ($6.00/hour) from Lynchburg Parks & Recreation for a different perspective of the lake. Please bring water, snacks and dress for the occasion.  

The mission of this family nature club is to help families in Lynchburg expose their children to the wonderful benefits of the outdoors. And, to meet other like-minded families. FILA events are scheduled monthly, open to all ages and typically free unless there is a cost associated with a partnering organization. Events may include hikes, canoeing, campfire cookouts, nature scavenger hunts, visiting a local state or national park, camping, etc.
