Testimonials

The Alliance and our Leadership Lynchburg program utilizes Camp Kum-Ba Yah for its session on reflection and nature roaming. The staff is wonderful to work with and always accommodates our set up needs. The facilities themselves are well kept and provide the perfect environment to meet our objectives. I would highly recommend this space for meetings and group events especially if you’re looking for something against the norm of typical classroom meeting space.

My son was delighted to have his 5th birthday party at Camp Kum-Ba-Yah. We hosted about 15 children for a soccer party and we were delighted with the staff and facilities. We not only had plenty of space to spread out and play soccer, but there was also a casual indoor space for cake & gifts, plus restrooms and a full kitchen. The kids (and their parents) loved exploring KBY’s walking trails. Camp Kum-Ba-Yah is by far my favorite spot locally to host a party—it was incredibly welcoming, convenient, and fun!

Lucy’s 6th birthday party at CKBY was her favorite party to date. She did a mini-hike with all of her closest friends on the nature trails led by Gage, and then the kids came back and made their own s’mores. They had non-stop fun playing together on the KinderWoods playground, “cooking” in the mud kitchen, digging up bones in the sand pit, and exploring the woods; this whole area is fenced-in, so parents can relax too. It was fun and easy for both kids and parents to have a great time!
