Hiking Trails

Camp Kum-Ba-Yah Nature Center’s 47 acre campus provides numerous opportunities for outdoor exploration throughout the year.  The 1.2 mile Cosby Loop rings the property and is accessible from trailheads at KinderWoods, Spotswood Place, and Morningside Dr.

Property Hours:

CKBY grounds are open sunrise to sunset.

Hikers are always welcome on the Cosby Loop Trail during daylight hours.

KinderWoods, all other trails, and general-use areas are closed to visitors during:

  • Summer Camp: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (June–early August)

  • Field Trip Season: Tuesday–Friday, 8 AM–1 PM (March–May & September–November)

During Your Visit:

  • Pets must be on a leash and picked up after.

  • No alcohol, weapons, or illegal substances.

  • Please do not disturb wildlife, plants, or natural features.

  • No littering.

  • No fires or overnight camping.

  • Please be considerate of neighboring residences.

  • Do not disturb camp, school, or other programs.

  • Follow all posted signage, guidelines, and safety warnings.
